Dallas, TX – Spring officially begins Thursday, but North Texas will see breezy conditions and cooler temperatures on Wednesday following Tuesday’s strong winds. A wind advisory remains in effect until 10 p.m. Tuesday, with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
According to the National Weather Service, winds will shift from the south to the northwest overnight, bringing cooler temperatures. Wednesday’s high will reach 67°F, significantly cooler than Tuesday’s 83°F. Winds from the northwest at 20-25 mph will persist throughout the day, with gusts up to 40 mph.
Overnight Wednesday, skies will remain clear, and temperatures will drop to 43°F as winds taper off. Thursday will bring sunshine and calmer conditions, with highs reaching 68°F and light southeast winds at 5-10 mph.
Looking ahead, Friday will see a return to warmer temperatures, with highs near 80°F and breezy conditions. Overnight lows will hover around 51°F. The weekend forecast includes sunny skies Saturday with a high of 79°F, followed by a slight chance of showers Sunday. Highs will remain in the upper 70s through early next week.
Drivers should remain cautious on elevated roadways, and residents should secure outdoor items while windy conditions persist. Boaters on area lakes should use caution due to choppy waters.
