Austin, TX – Central Texas residents can expect a mix of mild weather and scattered rain showers this weekend, followed by potential thunderstorms on Monday. The National Weather Service reports that warmer southerly winds will dominate through Sunday, bringing temperatures into the high 70s, before a cooler front arrives midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will remain cloudy with highs near 68°F, while Saturday sees a slight chance of early drizzle before sunshine breaks through, with highs reaching 77°F. Winds will remain light, creating pleasant outdoor conditions.

By Sunday, scattered light rain may occur, but temperatures will stay warm, with highs nearing 79°F. On Monday, a stronger cold front moves in, bringing higher chances of thunderstorms and up to a 60% likelihood of rain throughout the day. Drivers along I-35 should exercise caution as rain could reduce visibility and create slick roads.

The cool-down begins Monday night as temperatures dip into the low 50s. Tuesday looks drier and partly sunny, offering relief from the rain, with highs in the 60s. Isolated rain may return on Wednesday as another front moves through.

Locals are encouraged to secure outdoor items before Monday and plan for delays if traveling during storms. Stay tuned to local forecasts for updates.
