Lubbock, TX – A pleasant start to the week is in store for Lubbock residents, with mild temperatures and light winds expected through Wednesday. Sunny conditions will dominate the skies during the day, while cooler temperatures set in overnight.

According to the National Weather Service, highs for Sunday will reach near 70°F with southwest winds around 5 to 10 mph. Expect clear skies to transition into partly cloudy conditions Sunday night, with lows dipping to 37°F. Monday will remain sunny, but temperatures will cool slightly to a high near 59°F, with a light northeast breeze developing in the afternoon.

As the week progresses, Tuesday will bring warmer conditions, with highs climbing to 66°F under clear skies. Winds will remain calm and from the southwest, making for ideal outdoor weather. However, colder nights are forecasted, with temperatures dropping into the 30s. By Wednesday, a brief cooldown will bring daytime highs to 53°F.

Residents planning to travel or spend time outdoors are encouraged to take advantage of these mild conditions while preparing for chilly evenings. Drivers should be cautious of fluctuating morning temperatures and light winds on major routes such as I-27 and surrounding roadways, particularly during the cooler overnight hours.

Looking ahead, the extended forecast through Friday suggests a steady warming trend. Highs will return to the low 60s with abundant sunshine. The National Weather Service recommends dressing in layers to stay comfortable as temperatures vary significantly between day and night.
