Lubbock, TX – Residents can look forward to a warm and sunny weekend as mild temperatures settle across the region. Highs will reach the low 60s on Saturday and near 70 on Sunday, creating ideal conditions for outdoor activities and last-minute holiday shopping.

According to the National Weather Service, light winds from the south-southeast will keep the area feeling comfortable today, with a high near 62 degrees. Tonight will bring clear skies and a low of 34. By Sunday, temperatures will climb to 69 degrees, accompanied by sunny skies and calm winds from the southwest.

Looking into next week, Monday and Christmas Day are also expected to bring favorable weather. Monday’s high will reach 63 degrees with mostly sunny skies, and Christmas Day will be sunny with a high near 63 as well.

Though the holiday weather appears calm, Lubbock residents should prepare for slightly cooler temperatures by midweek, with Tuesday’s high dipping to 59 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Nighttime lows will hover in the mid-30s through the start of the week, so plan accordingly for evening celebrations or travel.

Motorists traveling along U.S. Route 82 or other regional highways are advised to check for updated road conditions, especially in the evenings when temperatures cool rapidly.
