Dallas, Texas – North Texas residents will start October with summer-like heat, as highs push into the low 90s through midweek. Dallas-area commuters should prepare for hot pavement along Interstate 35 and Loop 12, with rising heat by Wednesday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Tuesday will bring mostly clear skies with highs near 90, before sunshine dominates Wednesday with a high near 91. By Thursday, the stretch of heat continues with highs around 92. Temperatures will finally begin to ease slightly into the weekend, though most areas will still see highs near 90.

The extended period of sun and heat could raise risks for outdoor workers and drivers. Officials urge residents to stay hydrated, limit strenuous activities during peak afternoon hours, and never leave children or pets in vehicles. North Texas air conditioning systems will remain under heavy demand as the region moves into October.

Evening lows will hover near 68 to 70 degrees, offering little overnight cooling. While skies stay clear, the warm pattern signals little relief until at least Friday. Outdoor events and school sports should plan for lingering late-day heat well into the week.

The National Weather Service reports no major storm systems or rain chances expected through Sunday, keeping the region dry and unseasonably hot for early fall.
