The weather service warns that thunderstorms are likely Sunday night, bringing heavy rainfall and gusty winds, particularly along I-40 and surrounding areas. Eastward winds could reach 20 mph with higher gusts, making it advisable for drivers and outdoor planners to exercise caution.
Looking ahead, Monday may see lingering showers in the morning before skies clear by the afternoon, with a high around 59. Cooler temperatures are expected Tuesday, with highs near 52.
