Fort Worth, TX – Rain chances are ramping up across North Texas tonight, with the highest risk for wet roads, evening disruptions, and scattered storms continuing through early Saturday. Areas from Graham to Waco and east into the DFW Metroplex could see rain coverage peaking between 60–80% by midnight.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, light showers may begin developing this afternoon, though much of the early activity could evaporate before reaching the ground. By evening, however, more persistent rain is expected to spread eastward, with isolated storms possible overnight. While the severe threat remains low, brief downpours or lightning can’t be ruled out.

Residents in DFW, Waco, and Killeen should be alert for wet roads late Friday into Saturday morning, especially during early travel hours. Breezy conditions may accompany the rain in parts of the region, including Canton and Killeen. No flooding is expected, but visibility and traction could drop during heavier bursts.

Rain chances will taper off by midday Saturday, but another system could arrive early next week. Stay weather-aware as updates are expected.
