Texas wakes up mild and quiet, but warmth is ready to surge. Patchy fog lingers before sunrise across parts of Dallas–Fort Worth. Visibility may briefly dip in low-lying areas. Temperatures sit near 50 degrees early this morning.
Sunshine quickly takes control. Highs climb to the low 70s today under bright February skies. Light southeast winds turn southerly by afternoon. The air feels more like late March than winter.
The warming trend accelerates Tuesday. Highs reach near 77 degrees with a steady south wind. Gusts may top 30 mph at times. By Wednesday, February 18, temperatures peak near 79 degrees. Some spots could touch 80 degrees by Thursday. That brings full Spring Vibes to North Texas.
Skies stay partly sunny through midweek. No Ice Storm or Snow concerns are in sight. Unlike areas north of the Red River, cold air remains well away from DFW. The pattern favors warmth across much of the central U.S.
Late in the week, changes begin. A weak system may bring a 20 percent chance of showers Friday into early Saturday. Temperatures ease back into the upper 60s by Saturday. Nights cool into the 40s.
Looking into President’s Day Week and the 6–10 day outlook, the overall theme stays mild. Highs generally run above normal through much of the period. A brief cooldown is possible next weekend, but no Polar Vortex intrusion appears likely.
February is delivering a warm stretch across Dallas–Fort Worth. Enjoy the sunshine, but stay tuned for late-week updates as the next system approaches.
