Friday will bring a noticeable change, with highs only reaching the upper 50s and a north breeze transitioning to light southeast winds by evening. Lubbock will remain sunny through the weekend, with Saturday’s high rebounding to 65 degrees and Sunday climbing to 67. Overnight lows throughout the weekend will hover in the mid-30s to low 40s, so locals should plan accordingly for outdoor activities or holiday travel.
Looking into next week, the area will stay mostly sunny, with highs near the mid-60s on Christmas Day. Travelers driving along U.S. Route 84 or nearby highways are advised to check for changing wind conditions this afternoon.
