Houston, TX – Warm, dry air will dominate southeast Texas through the weekend, with inland temperatures pushing toward 90 degrees and limited rain chances until early next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Houston-Galveston, no rainfall is expected through Monday as high pressure keeps conditions stable across the region. Morning fog could reduce visibility early Thursday, especially along I-45, Highway 59, and coastal roadways near Galveston and Freeport.

Afternoon highs will climb into the mid to upper 80s across Houston, Conroe, and Livingston, while areas like College Station and Columbus could flirt with 90 degrees on the warmest days. Coastal communities including Galveston will stay cooler, generally in the 70s, due to onshore flow off the Gulf.

A weak cold front will slide through over the weekend, bringing slightly cooler temperatures but little relief from the dry pattern. By Tuesday into Wednesday, a return of Gulf moisture may spark isolated showers, mainly west and north of Houston.

Residents should stay hydrated during the warmer afternoons and remain alert for reduced visibility during early morning commutes. Additional updates may be issued as rain chances increase next week.
