According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Saturday’s high will reach 96°F, but heat index values could climb to 106°F. Conditions remain dry and mostly sunny, with light south-southeast winds offering little relief. Outdoor workers and vulnerable populations should limit exposure between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.. Stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and take breaks in the shade.

I-35W, I-20, and surrounding roadways may see heat-related vehicle issues, so check tires and coolant systems before travel. Cities like Arlington, Mansfield, and Haltom City can expect similar extremes. No rain is forecast through Sunday, but a slight thunderstorm chance returns Sunday afternoon, especially east of Fort Worth.
