Texas skies shift from gray to bright quickly today, and San Antonio warms fast under strengthening spring sunshine. Roads stay dry for now, but subtle changes in humidity and cloud cover hint at a wetter pattern developing late week.

According to the National Weather Service, San Antonio reaches a high near 74°F today with light northeast winds around 5 to 10 mph. Clouds increase tonight with a low near 51°F, but travel conditions remain stable and dry.

Tuesday continues the warming trend with highs near 77°F and partly sunny skies. By Wednesday, temperatures climb to 78°F under mostly cloudy conditions as southeast winds begin pulling in Gulf moisture.

That moisture becomes more noticeable Thursday, when highs reach 81°F. Skies stay mostly cloudy, and the air feels heavier through the afternoon. While rain holds off for most daytime hours, conditions begin to shift toward a more unsettled pattern.

By Friday afternoon, a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms develops. Roads like I-35 and Loop 410 could turn slick in isolated downpours. The storm signal strengthens into the weekend, with rain chances increasing to 40% by Saturday and continuing into Sunday.

Plan outdoor activities earlier in the week while conditions stay dry. Keep an eye on the sky by late week and prepare for brief downpours.
