Fort Worth, Texas – North Texas enters another dry and sunny stretch starting Monday, September 8, as high pressure drives up afternoon temperatures across Fort Worth. The week ahead looks hot, with little relief from rain and highs pushing into the low- to mid-90s.

According to the National Weather Service, Fort Worth will see sunshine Monday with highs near 86. By Tuesday, temperatures climb to 89, and Wednesday could top out at 92 under clear skies. The heat continues into late week, with highs near 93 to 94 expected Thursday through Saturday. Overnight lows will remain mild, staying in the upper 60s to low 70s.

For commuters on I-35, I-20, and Loop 820, travel conditions will be excellent with dry roads and clear visibility all week. However, the prolonged dry stretch adds to concerns about declining soil moisture and elevated fire danger. NOAA’s 6–10 day precipitation outlook keeps much of Texas trending drier than normal, suggesting rainfall will stay scarce through mid-September.

Outdoor workers and residents should stay alert for heat-related impacts as afternoon highs soar well above average. Hydration and frequent breaks are recommended, especially midweek when heat peaks.

The National Weather Service expects the hot, dry pattern to hold through at least next weekend, keeping Fort Worth under sunny skies and climbing temperatures.
