Dallas, Texas – A round of isolated thunderstorms could rattle parts of North and Central Texas late Sunday into Monday, with gusty winds and sweltering heat remaining key concerns heading into the workweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, a storm complex is expected to develop late Sunday and push into the region overnight. While the exact location of development remains uncertain, areas from Sherman and Paris to DFW and Waco may see storms early Monday. Wind gusts will be the primary threat.

Cities like Dallas, Fort Worth, and Sherman are likely to see highs in the mid-90s through Wednesday, with heat index values reaching 103°F. Meanwhile, Waco, Temple, and Palestine will also remain hot and humid, though storm chances are slightly lower there.

Rain chances peak at 30% Monday across the region. Residents are advised to secure outdoor items, charge electronics, and stay off roads during storms. South winds of 10–15 mph will continue through early week.

This heat and humidity pattern is typical for mid-June in Texas, but the timing of storm development could still shift. The National Weather Service recommends checking updates frequently.

Warnings may be updated as storms evolve Sunday night into Monday.
