San Angelo, TX – The National Weather Service in San Angelo is forecasting patchy fog development early Monday morning across portions of west-central Texas, especially north of a Mertzon-to-Junction line.
Favorable conditions for fog formation include clear skies, calm to light winds, and overnight lows in the low to mid-50s, which will bring temperatures close to dew point values.
The fog risk window extends from around 3 AM to 10 AM Monday, with localized visibility reductions possible during this time — particularly in valleys, near rivers, and low-lying areas.
Travelers are urged to take precautions:
- Slow down when visibility decreases.
- Use low-beam headlights in foggy areas.
- Exercise extra caution on bridges, in valleys, and near school zones.
Conditions should improve by mid to late morning as the fog dissipates, giving way to mostly sunny skies later in the day.
