San Antonio, TX – A calm, cloudy start to the weekend greets residents across south-central Texas, where patchy morning fog may briefly reduce visibility on rural roadways before the sun takes over by late morning. The National Weather Service in Austin–San Antonio reports that conditions will clear quickly, setting up a warm, dry weekend with temperatures pushing into the mid-70s by Sunday.
Commuters along I-10 and Loop 410 should use caution early today as shallow fog pockets and damp pavement could make short drives slower than usual. Once the haze lifts, sunshine returns and temperatures climb to around 74°F, with light west winds around 5 mph. By Sunday, expect full sun and a high near 75°F, ideal for outdoor events, early Christmas decorating, or a morning jog along the River Walk.
The mild stretch continues through Monday with highs near 63°F before another warmup midweek. Nights remain crisp, with lows dipping into the low 40s by early Monday. Despite the pleasant weather locally, meteorologists continue to monitor a developing cold front expected to sweep across the central U.S. between Dec. 11–17, possibly bringing frost and winter weather hazards to states north of Texas.
Five-Day Outlook for San Antonio:

- Sunday: Sunny, warm. High 75°F.
- Monday: Sunny, high 63°F.
- Tuesday: Clear skies, high 67°F.
