Corpus Christi, TX – Triple-digit temperatures will persist in Corpus Christi through Friday, followed by a cooler and wetter weekend as a cold front moves across South Texas.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, high temperatures between 88°F and 103°F are expected through Friday evening. Low temperatures will remain in the 70s, offering minimal overnight relief. A weak cold front is forecast to arrive Saturday morning, dropping temperatures and increasing rain chances across the region.

Saturday brings a 50% chance of showers with highs between 83°F and 89°F. Rain chances decrease to 30% Sunday as cooler air settles in, with highs dipping into the upper 60s and low 70s.

Residents are advised to limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours through Friday, stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable individuals. With the sudden shift in weather, local roads may become slick during Saturday’s showers. The National Weather Service urges caution for weekend travel and encourages monitoring weather updates.

This sharp temperature drop follows an unseasonably hot week, with values 10-15 degrees above average for early April. Cooler-than-normal temperatures are expected to linger into next week behind the front.
