Houston, TX – Three teenagers were arrested overnight in northwest Harris County after allegedly attempting to kill their mother in a dispute over Wi-Fi access.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a disturbance at the 3400 block of Barkers Crossing Avenue, near Barker Cypress and Clay Road. Authorities arrived to find an adult female who had allegedly been attacked by her three children, ages 14, 15, and 16.

The teens reportedly became enraged after their mother turned off the Wi-Fi and allegedly coordinated a plan to stab her. Investigators say the trio grabbed kitchen knives and chased their mother from the house into the street. One of the teens also allegedly struck her with a brick.

In the chaos, the children’s grandmother was reportedly knocked over while trying to protect the mother. Officials confirmed that no serious injuries were reported, though both adult females were assaulted.

All three juveniles were arrested at the scene and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. They were booked into the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.

The investigation remains ongoing.
