By 1 p.m., residents can expect a 30 percent chance of storms as temperatures soar to 94°F, with a heat index as high as 103°. Those traveling along I-45 and I-69 should watch for slick roads and sudden downpours.

According to the National Weather Service, showers and storms may develop after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15th, as southerly winds increase to 10 mph. New rainfall could reach a quarter inch or more in some neighborhoods, especially where thunderstorms linger.
