San Angelo, TX – A sudden spring chill is sweeping into Texas, triggering a Freeze Warning that could threaten crops, gardens, and morning commutes across San Angelo and the Concho Valley.

According to the National Weather Service in San Angelo, the warning is in effect from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. CDT Monday, April 7, as temperatures are expected to drop to 30 to 32 degrees. Areas along U.S. Route 277 and throughout the Concho Valley, Big Country, and Northwest Hill Country may wake up to patchy frost and icy conditions.
