Amarillo, TX – A freezing fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. CST today, impacting much of the Texas Panhandle and parts of Oklahoma. Drivers should prepare for low visibility and slick roadways, particularly on highways and rural roads.

These conditions may lead to dangerous travel on major roadways like U.S. Highway 60 and Interstate 40.

What to Expect

Dense fogwill persist until mid-morning, making early commutes difficult.

Freezing temperaturescould cause ice accumulation on bridges and overpasses.
