Amarillo, TX – Snow and icy roads continue to pose hazards across Beaver County, Oklahoma, and Lipscomb County, Texas, as a winter weather advisory remains in effect until noon CST Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Amarillo, up to one inch of additional snow is expected across the affected areas, including the cities of Booker, Beaver, Forgan, Follett, and Higgins. Residents are advised to prepare for slippery sidewalks, roads, and bridges, which may disrupt the Tuesday morning commute.

Authorities urge drivers to slow down and exercise caution when traveling. For road conditions, Oklahoma residents can call 844-465-4997, while Texas drivers can contact 800-452-9292.

The snowfall is expected to ease by noon, but residual icy conditions could linger throughout the afternoon. Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time and remain alert while navigating highways and local roads. This winter weather marks another challenge for the Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma, regions accustomed to harsh winter conditions during this time of year.
