Oklahoma City, Okla. – Strong thunderstorms are expected to roll across central and southern Oklahoma through 3 a.m. CDT Monday, with hail, damaging winds, and lightning threatening travel and safety in multiple counties.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, Severe Thunderstorm Watch 327 replaces a portion of the earlier watch and remains in effect for 20 counties across Oklahoma and northern Texas. In central Oklahoma, cities like Oklahoma City, Norman, Moore, El Reno, and Guthrie are under alert, with storms likely intensifying overnight.

Southern and southwestern Oklahoma—including Lawton, Duncan, and Altus—are also in the path of active cells capable of 60+ mph wind gusts and large hail. Drivers along I-35, I-40, and Highway 62 should be prepared for sudden low visibility and slick roads.

In northern Texas, Wichita Falls, Vernon, and Seymour are among the cities under threat, with localized flooding and wind damage possible through early morning hours.

Residents are urged to stay indoors, charge electronic devices, and monitor NOAA Weather Radio or local alerts. Additional watches or warnings may be issued if the system shifts eastward overnight.
