Houston, TX – Residents of Houston and surrounding areas can expect a predominantly dry week ahead, with limited chances of rain and rising temperatures. The US National Weather Service Houston-Galveston Texas reports that unlike the heavy rains of last week, this week will see only isolated afternoon showers or storms.

According to the National Weather Service, the dry conditions will lead to a return of hot weather, with highs reaching the mid-90s and heat indices climbing into the triple digits. The chance of any measurable rain remains low, with Monday and Tuesday seeing only a 5% and 0% chance, respectively. Wednesday and Thursday will continue the trend with a 4% chance of rain, rising slightly to 10% by Friday. The weekend could see a marginal increase in rain chances, with a 25% chance on both Saturday and Sunday.

The forecast also highlights that Houston will see temperatures consistently in the low to mid-90s throughout the week. Monday starts off cloudy with a high of 93°F, followed by sunny days with highs of 93°F to 94°F for the rest of the week. Overnight lows will remain in the high 70s, providing little relief from the heat.
