Houston, TX – Residents of Southeast Texas should prepare for a sweltering week as temperatures soar and heat indexes reach dangerous levels.
According to the US National Weather Service Houston-Galveston, the maximum temperatures and heat indexes are expected to be significantly high over the next seven days. Wednesday’s forecast shows temperatures in Houston hitting 98°F, with the heat index pushing it to 111°F. Similar trends are expected across the region, including Bay City and Angleton.
The highest temperatures will occur from Thursday to Saturday, with many areas such as College Station and Huntsville likely to experience triple-digit heat. The heat index in these locations is forecasted to climb as high as 112°F.
