Houston, Texas – A stretch of warm, dry weather will lock into place across Houston through early next week, keeping daytime highs in the upper 80s with little relief from the heat.

According to the National Weather Service, Houston will see mostly sunny skies through Tuesday, with daily highs ranging from 87 to 89 degrees. Overnight lows will stay mild, dipping only into the upper 60s to around 70. Winds will remain light, coming from the north and northeast at 5 to 10 mph.

The clear, dry conditions will create ideal travel weather for highways across Harris, Fort Bend, and Montgomery counties, though residents should take precautions against prolonged sun exposure. Cooling centers remain available across Houston for those without reliable air conditioning.

Outdoor workers and athletes should stay hydrated and limit strenuous activity during peak afternoon heat. With no rain expected, fire danger could rise in grassy or wooded areas, especially across southeast Texas counties outside the Houston metro.

The warm pattern looks to intensify midweek, with highs reaching the low 90s by Wednesday. Additional advisories could be issued if the heat strengthens further.
