Corpus Christi, Texas – A stretch of scorching days continues across South Texas this weekend, with high temperatures climbing past 100°F and isolated thunderstorms possible through Monday evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, the region faces 30% chances for showers and thunderstorms both Sunday and Monday. Highs will range from 90 to 102 degrees, with overnight lows staying uncomfortably warm between 75 and 82. Isolated storms may develop inland during the late afternoon and early evening, especially near Beeville, Tilden, and Alice.

The heat is most intense west of I-37, where cities like Laredo, Cotulla, and Freer are expected to top out between 98 and 101 degrees. Along the coast, areas like Rockport and Port Lavaca will be slightly cooler but still near the 90s, with only limited cloud cover offering relief.

Drivers and outdoor workers should plan for extreme heat conditions. Stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity during peak hours, and monitor for possible lightning or heavy downpours during brief storm cells. UV levels will also be extreme along the coast.

Temperatures will trend even hotter midweek, reaching up to 104 by Thursday with near-zero rain chances. Heat alerts may follow if conditions persist.
