Houston, Texas – Sunshine will be the story across Houston and much of southeast Texas this week, with highs steadily rising into the low to mid-90s by midweek. Cooler-than-average mornings early in the week will give way to summer-like afternoons as the region trends warmer each day.
According to the National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston, rain chances remain minimal, with only a slim possibility of an isolated coastal shower. Skies will stay mostly clear, and no tropical activity is expected in the Gulf of Mexico or Atlantic basin over the next seven days.
Daytime highs will range from the upper 80s Monday to the mid-90s by Thursday and Friday, while overnight lows will hover in the upper 60s to low 70s. Galveston and coastal communities could see slightly higher humidity, but inland areas like Katy, Conroe, and Sugar Land will remain dry.
With the heat returning, residents are urged to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours, and check on those sensitive to high temperatures.
The stretch of fair weather should continue into the weekend, with no major systems on the horizon.
