Fort Worth, TX – Freezing temperatures are expected to sweep across North Texas late Friday night into early Saturday morning, prompting residents to prepare.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth forecasts lows between 26°F and 34°F for the region. Wind chills could drop temperatures to as low as 22°F. Cities like Gainesville and Paris are expected to see temperatures as low as 27°F and 28°F, respectively.

Officials urge residents to protect the “4 P’s”: people, pets, plants, and pipes. Bring pets indoors, cover sensitive plants, and insulate outdoor pipes. Allow indoor faucets to drip overnight to prevent freezing.
