San Antonio, Texas – Storms may roll into the San Antonio area Tuesday afternoon, threatening to slow evening commutes on I-35 and I-10 by 4 p.m. With only limited rain chances, the bigger concern is lightning and brief downpours during peak travel hours.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday’s storm chances begin around 4 p.m. and may continue into the evening. South winds will pick up to 10 mph, with highs near 91°F and thick humidity in the air. Conditions remain unsettled through midweek.

Scattered showers are possible again on Wednesday, followed by a mostly cloudy Independence Day on Friday, July 4, with another slight chance of afternoon storms. Rain chances remain around 20% but may cause temporary delays for outdoor celebrations. Daytime highs will stay in the low to mid-90s.
