Corpus Christi, TX – Patchy fog is expected to develop late tonight across South Texas, potentially reducing visibility along key coastal roadways. A low to medium (30-50%) chance of fog will affect areas inland, with lows dipping into the 50s.

According to the National Weather Service, light onshore winds will contribute to fog formation after midnight. Commuters traveling along U.S. Highway 181 or nearby rural routes Monday morning should exercise caution as visibility could be significantly reduced.

Sunday night will remain mostly clear, with a low near 56 degrees in Corpus Christi. Winds will be light, shifting from the north to south overnight. Looking ahead to Monday, sunshine will dominate the day with highs reaching 82 degrees. Winds will increase slightly, gusting up to 18 mph.

For those planning outdoor activities this week, Tuesday and New Year’s Day promise mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures. Tuesday’s high will be near 71, with overnight lows falling to 51 degrees. On Wednesday, expect partly cloudy skies and cooler conditions, with a high of 64 degrees during the day and lows around 55 by nightfall.

While patchy fog may return sporadically later in the week, the extended forecast indicates dry and favorable weather conditions leading into the weekend. Drivers and outdoor enthusiasts should stay informed and plan accordingly as temperature fluctuations continue.
