Fort Worth, Texas – Drivers across North and Central Texas should prepare for a foggy commute Wednesday morning as dense, patchy fog will develop late tonight. Visibility will likely drop to as low as 1-2 miles, creating hazardous conditions for travel. According to the National Weather Service, the fog will persist through the early morning hours before dissipating by noon.

The National Weather Service issued the warning for areas including Fort Worth, Dallas, Killeen, and Waco, with the worst conditions expected between 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. Local roads, highways, and interstates like I-35 and I-20 will be particularly impacted. The fog could be so thick that drivers will need to use low-beam headlights for safety.

As conditions worsen overnight, those traveling should plan to allow extra time for their journeys. Be sure to drive with extra caution, especially on bridges and overpasses, which may become slick. The National Weather Service advises against speeding and encourages motorists to remain alert for sudden drops in visibility.

This fog event is expected to lift by mid-morning, but any additional changes or extended warnings will be issued as necessary.
