Texas Flood Warning: Rising Waters Impact Dallas, Navarro, and Surrounding Counties

Dallas, TX – Flood warnings remain in effect across North Texas, with rising river levels affecting several counties, including Dallas, Navarro, Kaufman, Ellis, and Henderson.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, the Trinity River at Dallas has surpassed its flood stage of 30 feet, reaching 35.1 feet Friday morning. Minor flooding is expected to persist until midnight, impacting low-water crossings and grazing areas. The river is forecast to drop below flood stage by this afternoon and continue receding into Saturday.

In Navarro County, Chambers Creek near Rice is experiencing moderate flooding, with water levels peaking at 27.7 feet Friday evening. Floodwaters may submerge rural roads and lowland areas, with levels expected to recede below flood stage by Saturday afternoon.

Further south, the Trinity River near Rosser (Kaufman and Ellis counties) and Trinidad (Henderson and Navarro counties) is also flooding. The Trinidad location is projected to crest at 36.3 feet by Sunday night, with water levels remaining elevated until Tuesday morning.
