According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, the Trinity River remains above flood stage and is expected to drop below it by late Saturday morning. Residents should avoid flooded areas and use caution when traveling near riverbanks. The warning covers areas along the Commerce Street Bridge and surrounding low-lying locations.
Despite lingering flood risks, the weekend forecast looks clear and warm. Saturday will bring sunny skies and a high near 69°F, with light winds shifting south by the evening. Sunday will be even warmer at 75°F, and Monday will top out at 79°F. Overnight lows will remain in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Drivers should remain alert for possible road closures due to high water, especially near the Trinity River. With warmer weather ahead, expect a spring-like start to February in Dallas.
