San Antonio, TX – Texans heading into October should prepare for another stretch of hot afternoons and clear nights this week. Highs will push into the mid-90s through Friday, October 3, keeping the region warmer than usual for early fall.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday’s forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 96°F. Light north-northwest winds will offer little relief. Forecasters say Thursday and Friday will mirror the same pattern, with highs near 94–96°F and lows dipping only to the low 70s. Residents planning outdoor activities, including early Halloween decorating, should stay hydrated and limit time outside during peak afternoon heat.

Friday, October 3, remains sunny with highs close to 94°F, followed by mostly clear skies Friday night and lows near 71°F. Looking into the weekend, Saturday and Sunday will continue the hot, dry trend. Expect highs around 93°F both days with mild evening breezes.

Rain chances remain very low into early next week, offering little relief for dry lawns or outdoor workers. Monday, October 6, may bring a 20 percent chance of showers, but forecasters stress the pattern favors more sun than rain.
