Corpus Christi, TX – Drivers near Victoria and along the Coastal Bend are urged to exercise caution due to dense fog reducing visibility to less than a quarter mile. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 9 a.m. Saturday, warning that road conditions may be hazardous.
According to the NWS, areas including Victoria, coastal counties, and nearshore waters are experiencing significant visibility challenges. Mariners should remain vigilant, as visibility on the water could drop below one mile. Drivers are advised to use low-beam headlights, reduce speed, and allow extra distance between vehicles.
The fog is expected to clear by late morning, with sunny skies and highs near 86°F forecasted for the afternoon. A five-day outlook predicts warm, clear weather for New Year’s Eve and into the holiday week, with a cooler Tuesday high of 74°F.
