Corpus Christi, TX – South Texans will see another stretch of hot, muggy weather this week, with the National Weather Service calling for highs in the upper 80s to upper 90s and a heat index reaching as high as 105 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, Sunday will remain mostly dry across the region, with only a 20–30% chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms. The highest rain chances this week are expected from Monday through Thursday, especially along the Coastal Plains and the Coastal Bend, where daily storm chances range from 15% to 40%.

High temperatures will hover near 97° inland in places like Alice, Beeville, and Victoria, while coastal communities including Rockport, Port Lavaca, and Corpus Christi will stay slightly cooler, ranging from the mid-80s to low 90s. Overnight lows will settle into the low to upper 70s.

Forecasters caution that heat index values between 100° and 105° will make outdoor activity uncomfortable, particularly during peak afternoon hours. Southeast winds will help provide some relief, and the beach forecast notes a low risk of rip currents along the Texas coast.

Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit time outdoors in the afternoon, and monitor forecasts for changing rain chances through midweek.
