Corpus Christi, TX – Residents across the Coastal Bend should prepare for another hot stretch of weather, with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s through Thursday before low rain chances return heading into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, Wednesday’s high is expected between 89 and 98 degrees, followed by Thursday with a forecast of 89 to 99 degrees. Overnight lows will remain mild, ranging from the upper 60s to mid-70s.
By Friday, the forecast introduces a 30% chance of showers and storms for the Coastal Bend, with highs ranging from 87 to 96 degrees. Rain chances continue into Saturday at 30% across the Coastal Plains and eastern counties. On Sunday, the National Weather Service projects a 25% chance of rain, with temperatures holding steady between 86 and 96 degrees.
Forecasters caution that while rainfall coverage will be limited, the continued heat means residents should stay hydrated and limit time outdoors during peak afternoon hours. Heat indices may make conditions feel even warmer.
Travelers and outdoor planners should be mindful of the chance for pop-up storms over the weekend, though widespread rainfall is not expected at this time.
