Houston, TX – Chilly temperatures will persist across Houston this week, but a warming trend is expected by the weekend as an Arctic front moves out. Residents should prepare for breezy conditions and overnight lows dipping into the 30s before a sunnier weekend arrives.

According to the National Weather Service, Wednesday will start mostly cloudy before clearing in the afternoon, with highs reaching 48°F. Winds from the north at 15 to 20 mph will make temperatures feel even cooler. Wednesday night will be cold, with lows around 31°F. By Thursday, the skies will clear, and temperatures will rise slightly to 46°F.

By Friday, cloud cover increases again with a 20% chance of showers in the afternoon. The bigger shift comes Saturday when Houston sees a 50% chance of rain early, followed by mostly sunny skies. Highs will jump to the low 60s by Sunday and near 73°F on Monday, signaling the return of warmer air.

Drivers should watch for wet roads late Friday into early Saturday. Layering up will be necessary midweek, but Houstonians can look forward to milder temperatures just in time for the weekend.
