Fort Worth, TX – A powerful Arctic cold front is set to sweep through Texas this week, bringing bitterly cold temperatures, gusty winds, and rain to the Fort Worth area. Wind chills could fall into the single digits by midweek, making travel and outdoor activities hazardous.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will climb to a mild 58°F on Monday (Washington’s Birthday) before a sharp drop overnight. By Tuesday, rain chances increase to 50%, with winds gusting up to 25 mph. Tuesday night could see freezing rain, as temperatures plunge to 18°F. Wind gusts up to 30 mph will make it feel even colder.
