A 2006 Pontiac G6, driven by Boudreaux, was traveling north at a high rate of speed when it allegedly failed to slow and struck the rear of a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. Ledet, who was driving the Chevrolet and was unrestrained, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to State Police. Boudreaux, who was also unrestrained, sustained serious injuries and was transported to an out-of-area hospital.
