Terre Haute, IN – Starting today, July 1, crews will begin closing individual lanes on Cherry and Ohio Streets in Terre Haute for utility relocation ahead of a future resurfacing project. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced the closures as part of preparations to improve the roadway infrastructure.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation: West Central, the lane closures will affect U.S. 150 between First Street and Third Street, with work expected to last several weeks. Motorists should plan for potential delays and consider alternate routes where possible.

The lane closures are necessary to facilitate the relocation of utilities, a critical step before the planned resurfacing of the affected streets. This project aims to enhance road conditions and ensure long-term durability. INDOT advises residents and commuters to stay updated on the project’s progress and follow posted detours for a smoother travel experience.
