Nashville, TN – A winter storm warning remains in effect for much of Middle Tennessee, with up to 4 inches of snow expected along and north of I-40 through Wednesday noon.
According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, snowfall will continue overnight into the morning hours, making roads hazardous. The heaviest accumulation is expected in areas including Clarksville, Nashville, and Gallatin.
Officials warn that bridges and overpasses will likely become slick, creating dangerous travel conditions. The Tennessee Department of Transportation urges drivers to avoid unnecessary travel and check road conditions via 511 before heading out.
The storm is expected to taper off by midday Wednesday, but lingering icy conditions could impact commutes. Residents are advised to keep emergency supplies in their vehicles, including flashlights, food, and water.
