Nashville, Tenn. – A stretch of unusually warm fall weather will push temperatures into the upper 80s across Middle Tennessee this weekend, with conditions feeling more like late summer than early October. Patchy fog could reduce visibility Friday night into early Saturday, while a slight chance of showers returns by Monday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, highs Friday through Sunday will reach 85 to 88 degrees, with overnight lows holding in the low to mid-60s. Winds remain light, keeping afternoons warm and humid. The agency warns drivers to watch for patchy dense fog after 4 a.m. Saturday, especially on I-24 and I-65 corridors near rivers and low-lying areas.

Sunny skies dominate through Sunday, but conditions begin to shift as a weak front approaches early next week. By Monday, clouds increase with a 20 percent chance of showers, mainly after sunset. Scattered thunderstorms could develop Tuesday afternoon, with brief downpours and lightning possible. While no widespread severe weather is expected, the unsettled stretch could slow commutes and impact outdoor plans.

Emergency managers encourage residents to take advantage of the dry weekend for outdoor activities but to plan for sudden changes in road conditions next week. Keep devices charged in case of brief power interruptions from isolated storms. Pets, plants, and sensitive outdoor equipment should be protected as humidity rises ahead of rain chances.
