Memphis, TN – Warm and dry weather is set to persist across the Mid-South for the next seven days, bringing above-average temperatures into the start of October.

According to the National Weather Service in Memphis, daily highs will remain in the middle to upper 80s through at least Wednesday, October 1. Cities including Memphis, Jackson, Jonesboro, Oxford, Paris, and Tupelo are all forecast to stay in the 80-degree range during the first half of the week.

The extended forecast shows only a slight cooling trend by next weekend. By Saturday, October 4, and Sunday, October 5, temperatures are expected to dip into the lower 80s, offering some modest relief from the warm stretch. Overnight lows will generally remain mild, holding in the 60s.

Dry conditions are also expected to continue across the region, with little to no rainfall in the forecast. This pattern may increase drought concerns if it extends further into October, particularly for agricultural areas across western Tennessee, northern Mississippi, and eastern Arkansas.

The weather service advises residents to prepare for continued warm afternoons, especially for outdoor activities and events planned during the first week of October. Commuters and travelers should expect dry roads but monitor updated forecasts as cooler air begins to move in next weekend.
