Nashville, TN – Residents across Middle Tennessee should prepare for multiple rounds of severe weather through Thursday, with storms bringing gusty winds and heavy rainfall that could cause localized flooding.

According to the US National Weather Service in Nashville, the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed all of Middle Tennessee under a marginal risk for severe weather each of the next three days. The greatest threats will occur in the afternoons and evenings, with storms producing damaging winds and downpours.

Forecasts show rain chances at 50–80% Monday with highs near 87 degrees, followed by similar conditions Tuesday with a 40–80% chance of storms. The highest risk comes Wednesday, when rain chances rise to 80–90% and temperatures remain in the low 80s. Showers and storms are expected to linger Thursday with a 40–80% chance.

Conditions should improve late Friday into the weekend, with only isolated showers expected Friday and mostly sunny skies Saturday and Sunday. Highs will remain in the 70s to mid-80s through the period.

The National Weather Service urges residents to monitor forecasts and radar updates closely. Heavy downpours could quickly flood low-lying or poor drainage areas, and gusty winds may cause tree damage or scattered power outages.
