Rain chances increase to 100% on Tuesday, with steady showers and a high of 47°F. Winds will stay light at 5 mph, but periods of heavy downpours could lead to ponding on roads, including major routes like I-40 and I-65.
By Tuesday night, rainfall will continue, and some areas may see flash flooding as totals rise. Wednesday will bring another wave of showers, with a high of 55°F. Rainfall could be heavy at times overnight, prompting concerns for commuters.
Looking ahead, drier conditions are expected by Friday, with temperatures rebounding to the low 50s. Drivers should stay alert for potential water-covered roads and use caution during the morning and evening commutes.
