Nashville, Tennessee – Rain and storm chances are increasing across Middle Tennessee, with the heaviest impacts expected by Saturday night when widespread rainfall could disrupt travel and outdoor plans.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, scattered showers and storms will continue through Thursday and Friday, with rain chances between 20% and 50% during the daytime and evening hours. Temperatures will remain well above normal, climbing into the upper 70s to mid-80s across Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Clarksville.

The most impactful period arrives late Saturday into Saturday night, when rain chances surge to 70% to 80% as a cold front moves through the region. This round could bring heavier and more widespread rainfall, increasing the risk of ponding on roads including I-40, I-65, and I-24.

By Sunday, temperatures drop sharply into the upper 50s and low 60s, with lingering rain possible before drier conditions return early next week.

Residents are encouraged to plan for wet conditions through the weekend and stay alert for updates as rainfall intensity and timing become clearer.
