Nashville, TN – A tornado watch has been issued for central Tennessee, including Nashville, Murfreesboro, and surrounding areas, until 9 p.m. Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service, several tornadoes are possible, along with large hail up to two inches in diameter and damaging wind gusts reaching 75 mph. The affected region includes a population of approximately 2.6 million, along with 616 schools and 61 hospitals.
Residents are urged to stay weather-aware and have a safety plan in place as storms move through the area this evening.
