PERRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A wave of sorrow has enveloped Tennessee after a high school senior’s tragic passing due to an ATV mishap in the Flatwoods area over the weekend.
The accident, which transpired on private grounds, also involved two local teens, both of whom were found unimpaired.
The young woman was later identified by County officials as Makayla Tuck from Wayne County, a proud member of the Class of 2023. Following a joint investigation by the Perry County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the incident was classified as accidental.
